KILMORE First XI backed themselves up with a brilliant performance in the field on Saturday in round 11 of the Seymour District cricket league.
Kilmore set Eastern Hill a huge target, having amassed 264 on day one in a strong and united team effort.
Eastern Hill struggled early, before R. Misiti 61, and D. Short 56, steadied the ship.
However, the combined efforts of Kilmore's bowlers, led by Luke Brennan 4/47 off 16 overs, restricted the visitors to a total of only 212.
Travis Blackwell 2/56 off 16 and Rod McLeod 1/63 off 23 were instrumental in limiting their opponents’ ability to score.
The Blues look in great form as the season heads into its final weeks before finals.
Broadford First XI could not defend its 151 against Alexandra on the second day of play against Alexandra.
Alexandra's M. Hill 48 and A. Tatterton 39 led the chase, contributing to the 163 total.

Alexandra struggled from the outset in day two. Strong bowling performances from Hayden Smith 4/22 and Liam Edwards 3/19, restricted them to 99 in their first innings, sending them straight back in.
Stands from Alexandra's J. Kidd 45 and N. Malcolm 40 no made a second innings total of 128 more respectable, but short of the chase, giving the Blues outright points.
Avenel's first innings total of 275 proved to large a chase for Broadford.
The Red and Black's were restricted to 118 in their first innings from the excellent bowling of Avenel's J. Meek 5/27 and F. Canobie 3/40.
G. Hibbert top scored with 45.
