FASHIONS on the Field at the Sportingbet Kilmore Turf Cup will be part of something much bigger this year.
The fashion forward will have the opportunity to vie for a place in the Country Racing Victoria competition to find the country’s best dressed racegoer.
Kilmore is one of 60 country cups around Victoria to host the competition, where one lucky entrant will win a trip to Hong Kong and will become the face of the 2011-2012 season.
The national competition will be judged by fashion professor and former L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival creative director Karen Webster, L’Oreal Professional events and artistic director Mark Thompson, Decjuba MD Tania Austin, milliner Kerrie Stanley and Nine Network personality Lauren Phillips.
Entering is as easy as participating in the Sportingbet Kilmore Turf Cup Fashions on the Fields.
The winner of the Best Dressed Lady will have the opportunity to enter the Country Racing Victoria competition.
This year’s event is sponsored by Excessories in Kilmore and there is even a category for the young racegoer.
Categories include: Best Dressed Lady (18 years and above), Best Dressed Novice, for (11 – 17 years), Best Dressed Child (10 years and under), Best Dressed Couple and Best Hat.
You can vote
Throughout the competition, punters can vote online at <www.countryracing.com.au> for their favourite finalist in the People’s Choice Award, while the official judging panel will select their preferred finalist.

Jessie Whinfield will be singing the National Anthem before the main race.
Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for concession, and entry for children 17-years-old and under is free.
