MITCHELL community radio station, OKR 98.3 FM, is again on the lookout for aspiring young radio presenters.
The station is holding it fourth Young Presenters Quest, with finals running during National Youth Week on April 6 and 7.
The quest is open to students in years 6 to 12, either as individuals or teams of two, and has nurtured the talent of entrants, many whom now present their own regular radio shows.

2008 winner Cameron Moir, 2009 Winner Anthony Drofenik and 2010 finalists Brandon and Liam Dobson are among those making a name for themselves on local radio.
Senior winner from 2008, Kate McLaren, has recently returned to the airwaves with a new show called The Mixtape on Wednesdays from 7pm to 8pm.
Other young presenters have joined the station since last year’s quest and there are now 16 presenters between the ages of 13 and 22.

New shows include The Stimulus Package with Brett Maher, Heath Cardwell, Jarrod Lovick and Anthony Ghobril, Pirate Related Tuesdays with Jackson Calderwood and Luke Houllis, and Hello with Jai Cameron.

A full program guide is available on the station’s website.
The Young Presenters Quest is one of 84 National Youth Week events across the state supported by the Victorian Government and Beyond Blue.
Training sessions can be booked from March 7.
Entry forms can be downloaded from the station’s website at <www.okrfm.com.au> or obtained from the libraries in Wallan, Kilmore and Broadford, or the participating local businesses.
