TRAINING partners Lee and Shannon Hope will nominate Showstoppa for the $70,000 Inglis Bonus race (plus $100,000 for qualified horses) over 1400 metres at Caulfield next Saturday, after the filly’s impressive win at Wodonga on Sunday.
The three-year-old daughter of Show a Heart and Resurrection, starting a $1.70 favourite, broke through at her fourth start 
for a comfortable win in the $15,000 Maiden Plate over 1300 metres.

“We were a bit worried about the wet track prior to the run, but she handled it okay,” Lee said.
Ridden by Nikita Beriman, Showstoppa came from the rear of the field to defeat the Leon Corstens-trained Lefebvre ($6) by 2½ lengths, with the Kate Goodrich gelding a similar margin away, third.
The win was the second leg of a riding double for Beriman.
Showstoppa was a $50,000 purchase at the 2008 Inglis Premier Yearling Sales.
“It was great for the owners, as they have been loyal clients of the stable for many years,” Lee said.
Thompson again
Later on the Wodonga Cup program, Ash Thompson was again in the winner’s stall.
The young Kilmore apprentice was aboard the Sheila Laxon and John Symons-trained Borgy Babe ($6) in taking out the 0-
68 Handicap (1590m).
68 Handicap (1590m).When most of his fellow riders shied away from the rails in earlier races, Thompson, coming from last, didn’t go around a runner, to win by 1¼-lengths over Mister Taz with Know His Power a close-up third.
Sunday’s win was Thompson’s third aboard the six-year-old daughter of Deputy Governor and Roycroft Street, who is part-owned by Laxon and TVN presenter and racecaller, Adam Olzanski.
The mare has now had 26 starts for five wins and six minor placings.
