MAGPIE B-grade netballers will strive for back-to-back flags in the Riddell District netball competition this Sunday.
Following a closely fought match against Lancefield last Saturday, a late lead saw Wallan win the match by three goals and earn a place in the 2010 Western Water Grand Final.
Command of the match chanced early, with Wallan dominating in the first quarter and Lancefield coming back in the second.
Changes at half time saw Alex Mercuri in goal attack and Tammy Barton take centre, which provided great drive for some strong goal work from Kaycee Parker, who finished the match with 22 of her side’s 32 goals.
Effective pressure ensured turnovers to Katie Waxiel and Tammy Barton early in the final quarter and extra efforts helped the Magpies run out with the lead and the match.
